Reducing wildfire risk to protect the environment, wildlife, and nearby communities.

Clean Forest Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing wildfires, protecting communities, and saving wildlife. Our mission is to preserve the beauty and health of our forests, while ensuring the safety of both people and the province. Through proactive measures and community engagement, we're working tirelessly to create a safer, more resilient environment for all.

  1. Saving homes, camps, and communities: Residential and commercial properties can be damaged or destroyed through wildfire, with life changing impact. Recreational areas, cultural and historical sites can be lost forever, erasing important parts of a community's heritage. Farmland is also a major loss in wildfires.

  2. Restoring natural habitats: Removing debris and clutter allows native vegetation to grow, restoring natural habitats for wildlife.

  3. Improving wildlife movement: Clearing forests can create pathways for wildlife to move freely, reducing fragmentation and promoting connectivity.

  4. Enhancing biodiversity: By removing invasive species and debris, native species can thrive, enhancing biodiversity and ecosystem health.

  5. Protecting nesting and breeding sites: Cleaning forests can help protect nesting and breeding sites for wildlife, supporting population stability.

  6. Maintaining ecosystem balance: Preserving wildlife habitats helps maintain ecosystem balance, supporting complex relationships between species.

Forest cleaning is a vital practice that involves removing dead debris, underbrush, and other flammable materials from forests. Forests become less prone to catastrophic wildfires, and the risk of uncontrolled blazes is significantly reduced. Regular forest cleaning also promotes healthy forest growth, improves wildlife movement, and enhances biodiversity. Additionally, it helps maintain ecosystem balance, supports sustainable forestry practices, and ensures the long-term health and resilience of these vital ecosystems. By prioritizing forest cleaning, communities can protect their homes and wellbeing.
